Samba Drumming for 50+ | SILVER SAMBISTAS | Open Session

The Silver Sambistas are a samba drumming group for over 50s, run by expert tutor David Walter of Olá Samba,they have been rehearsing on Monday mornings since 2013.

Learn to play the rhythms and instruments of the Rio Carnival. We will be using the same instruments as the regular weekly class, playing some of our usual material plus learning material new to everyone. There's no obligation to join the band if you come to this session, but feel free to come and see if you like it!

There is a break halfway through the session where tea and biscuits are provided.

Cost: FREE if it’s your first session, or £6.

All equipment is provided, just show up! Arrive 1015 for a 1030 start. Parking at rear of the church but it gets busy. If you need to leave quickly at the end of the session, there are a limited number of spaces available at the front of the church. Walk/bus/train/cycle if you can! The venue is on the bus route and a stones throw from Cheltenham Railway Station.
